Drift Coastal Art (DIY Project)

I call it fluid art. It is a mesmerising process (if somewhat messy…). There is something deeply satisfying about watching the colours and texture spill across a canvas.

I love acrylic pouring techniques and I have recently discovered the art of resin pouring. This form of abstract art uses acrylics with a runny consistency to create coastal scenes. Fluid art allows you to learn a great deal about colour and texture. There are so many techniques I still want to explore, coated pours, wash pours, straight pours, where the finished product almost looks like layers of watercolour. I will post some more creations soon…

My favourite technique uses resin. I will document one of my experimental projects in a follow-on post. In the meantime, take a look at some of my creations and experiments with fluid art.
