Origin Coffee

Origin is a place for people who love coffee – where good runs deep. Founded in 2004 by Tom Sobey, Origin Coffee is an independently owned speciality coffee roaster that is bound by one central ethos; to source exceptional coffee through a sustainable, triple bottom line approach.

I have two favourites: Resolute (Milk Chocolate, Stewed Plum & Caramel) and Pathfinder (Cranberry, Pink Grapefruit & Dark Chocolate). Try it yourself. Delicious!

Olfactory Coffee Roasters

Founded by pioneering coffee obsessives in Penryn in 2013, Olfactory Coffee Roasters have devoted to find the best seasonal speciality coffees the world has to offer. The team then extensively experiment, sample and profile-roast until the very best of flavour, characteristics and sweetness out of each coffee bean has been unveiled. Located in the Old Brewery Yard in the historic town of Penryn in Cornwall, Olfactory Coffee Roasters take pride in an open door policy to the roastery, welcoming anybody wishing to find out more about the craft of roasting speciality coffee.

I particularly enjoy Kochere (Strawberry, Bergamot, Vanilla) and Knockout espresso (Red grape, Toffee, Cacao butter).

Yallah Coffee

The seeds for Yallah were sown many years ago, travelling along the coastline of Morocco. Yallah means ‘Lets go’ in Arabic. Yallah began with a restored 1950's roaster, a leaky barn, and a goal to build a sustainably focused business. Yallah is still at Argal Home Farm to this day; powered by solar, heated with biomass and surrounded by new workshops, studios, and a bunch of creatives.

I’ve got a taste for the Women producers of ASPROCDEGUA (Sweet, hazelnut, chocolate & honey) and Sasaba (Peach, pineapple & strawberry). Delicious flavours.
